This is the fourth year Arizona-bound Mascarenas has been a first-team choice; also a pitcher, it’s her third as a utility player. She went 9-1 with a 0.36 ERA, and her walks/hits to innings pitched ratio (0.45) was among the county’s five best. Maybe the county’s best defensive infielder, and possibly its toughest out, she played third base.
