Lake Forest Planner Joins County Panel
Supervisor Todd Spitzer has selected a veteran Lake Forest planning consultant to represent the 3rd District on the Orange County Planning Commission.
Rick Goacher is president of Rick Goacher/Planning Inc. and has served on the Lake Forest Planning Commission since the city was incorporated in 1991.
He also served on the board of the American Planning Assn. Orange County Chapter and on the Saddleback Area Coordinating Council.
“The 3rd District has a vast amount of undeveloped land and open space.†Spitzer said in a statement. “Rick will bring the necessary acumen to the commission and will play a crucial role when it comes to issues related to land use in Orange County.â€
The Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the appointment this week.
Goacher succeeds Clarice Blamer, who recently stepped down.
