Chasing Amy: Sophomore Amy Skieresz of Arizona has the top entry times in the women’s 5,000 and 10,000 meters in the NCAA track and field championships at Bloomington, Ind. The meet starts today and ends Saturday.

Skieresz, a 1995 graduate of Agoura High, has run 15:44.91 in the 5,000 during the outdoor season and 32:31.65 in the 10,000.

Fast finish: Tom Morefield of Chatsworth finished with a flurry.

Morefield, a junior utility player, hit his first two home runs of the season April 29 in an 8-0 victory over Birmingham. Morefield finished with a team-high seven homers and 27 runs batted in.
