Academic Team Sets Its Mind on Winning

A team of Aliso Viejo Middle School students are flexing their academic muscles this week as they prepare for the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals at the University of Maryland.
Aliso Viejo’s “Heroic Proportions” team will compete Wednesday in the opening day of the event, which runs through Saturday, along with approximately 13,000 students from throughout the United States and around the world.
The team earned the right to go to the world finals by taking top honors at the state competition in April at UC Santa Barbara.
Team members are Michelle McCann, Jennifer Peng, Christine Raymundo, Adrienne Salanga, Sandra Vinh, Natasha Feingold, and team coach Tito Salanga.
