Police Investigate Saturday Stabbing

Police are continuing to investigate a stabbing in Santa Paula that left a man seriously wounded Saturday, authorities said.
Phillip Anthony Mora, 35 of Santa Paula was stabbed in the chest by an unknown assailant in the 200 block of South 8th Street about 6 p.m., police said.
He was transported to Ventura County Medical Center by family members where he remained in stable condition in the intensive care unit, authorities said Sunday.
According to police, details of what led to the stabbing and a description of the attacker were unavailable Sunday because investigators have not yet had a chance to interview the victim.
