Starting June 29, the low-fare airline Western Pacific will move beyond its Colorado Springs, Colo., hub and begin flying to Denver from Los Angeles and other cities. One of Canada’s top tourist attractions, the house that inspired the 1908 children’s book “Anne of Green Gables,†by Lucy Maud Montgomery, will be closed until July 1 following a fire. Several rooms in Green Gables House, in Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island, sustained damage in the May 23 fire; the cause is under investigation. . . .About 37,000 people visited Yosemite National Park over the Memorial Day weekend--nearly one-third fewer than last year and the fewest in five years, officials said. Highway 140, which heads into the park, was reopened fully May 23 for the first time since flooding at Yosemite in January.
