Fluor Daniel Secures Argentina Mining Deal
IRVINE — Fluor Daniel Inc. and Sade, an Argentine construction company, received a joint contract to provide services for Cerro Vanguardia, a $237-million gold and silver mine and processing plant in the province of Santa Cruz, Argentina.
Fluor Daniel said Wednesday that the contract is worth about $120 million to Fluor and Sade. The joint venture will provide basic engineering, project management, procurement and contracting, and construction services for the project.
Production is scheduled to begin in mid-1998, with full production levels being reached by year-end.
