Here’s a list of team and individual sports available through a variety of Orange County cities.
COSTA MESA
* Sport: Basketball
When: July 14 through Sept. 22
Comments: Registration is June 23 through July 3 at the Downtown Community Center, 1860 Anaheim Ave., or call (714) 642-0646. Games will be played at the Downtown Community Center.
Cost: $300 per team, plus $20 for referees.
CYPRESS
* Sport: Basketball
When: Tuesday nights from June 10 through Aug. 5.

Cost: $305 per team.
* Sport: Coed volleyball
When: Thursday nights from June 5 through Aug. 7.
Comments: Call Ray Frankeny for information or to register at (714) 229-6780. Games are self-officiated and will be played at Lexington Junior High.
Cost: $145 per team.
FULLERTON
* Sport: Basketball
When: Aug. 11 through Oct. 24.
Comments: Registration is July 21 through July 25 at Independence Park, 801 W. Valencia, or call (714) 738-5369.
Cost: $235 per team and $20 for referees.
* Sport: Volleyball
When: July 15 through Sept. 25.
Comments: Registration is July 1 through July 4 at Independence Park, 801 W. Valencia, or call (714) 738-5369.
Cost: $170 per team and $9 per game for referees.
GARDEN GROVE
* Sport: Baseball
When: 18-game season has begun and will end Aug. 15.
Comments: Teams are looking for players and registration is open. Saturday league and Sunday league games are played at Pacifica High School and Rancho Alamitos High School. Call Jim Moore to register at (714) 996-2763.
Cost: Approximately $150 per person.
* Sport: Women’s baseball
When: Fifteen-game season has begun and will end Aug. 1.
Comments: Teams are looking for players and registration is open. Games are played on Saturdays at Rancho Alamitos High School. Call Tina Van Trotha to register at (714) 534-1854.
Cost: $50 per person.
IRVINE
* Sport: Basketball
When: Fall league begins Aug. 25 and will end Nov. 13.
Comments: Registration is July 3 through Aug. 5 at the Civic Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza, or call (714) 724-6659. Games will be played at Woodbridge, Irvine and University high schools.
Cost: $490 per team.
* Sport: Coed and women’s volleyball
When: June 10 through Aug. 14.

Cost: $310 per team.
MISSION VIEJO
* Sport: Basketball
When: Ten-game season begins June 23 and ends July 31.
Comments: Registration is June 2 through June 20, at the Saddleback Valley Unified School District Recreation and Community Service Dept., 23602 Via Fabricante, or call (714) 768-0981. Games will be played at Trabuco Hills and Mission Viejo high schools.
Cost: $380 per team, plus $20 for referees.
* Sport: Six-person, coed indoor volleyball
When: Monday night matches begin July 14 and end Aug. 22.

PLACENTIA
* Sport: Basketball
When: Tuesday nights games begin June 3 and end Aug. 12.

Cost: $400 per team.
* Sport: Volleyball
When: 10-game fall league begins Sept. 15.
Comments: Registration is Aug. 18 through Sept. 5, call (714) 993-8232. Matches will be played at Tynes Gym.
Cost: $200 per team.
YORBA LINDA
* Sport: Volleyball
When: July 22 through Sept. 9.
Comments: Registration packets can be picked up from May 27 through July 8 at City Hall, 4845 Casa Loma, or at Travis Ranch Activity Center, 200 Via de la Escuela, or call (714) 961-7160 for information. Tuesday night matches will be played at the Travis Ranch Activity Center.
Cost: $140 per team, plus $9 for referees.
