$1.1 Million in Surplus Divvied Up
The City Council has allocated a surplus from the city’s general fund for half a dozen public works programs.
Leftover funds totaling $1.1 million will be distributed to six capital improvement projects in the city:
* Arnold-Cypress Park, $300,000 for refurbishment.
* Cypress Acres residential area, $300,000 for repairs.
* Lincoln Avenue, $200,000 for redevelopment.
* Public safety, $100,000.
* Sidewalk repair, $100,000.
* Wicker Drive, $100,000 for property rehabilitation.
The surplus funds from the current budget will be available for the designated projects in fiscal 1997-98.
