Authorities Identify Man Killed in Crash
Authorities have identified an Oxnard man killed in a traffic accident Saturday.
Rodrigo Navarro, 31, was killed after his sedan collided about 8 p.m. with a small truck at Wooley Road and Rose Avenue in Oxnard, authorities said.
According to police, Navarro suffered massive head injuries after the truck, driven by Michael Wyly, 28, of La Canada, slammed into his car and pushed it into a tree.
Navarro died en route to the hospital.
Wyly suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Ventura County Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
No charges have been filed against Wyly, and police do not believe alcohol was involved in the fatal crash. Officers are continuing an investigation.
