Teen Shot Dead; Man Arrested

ANAHEIM — A young man was arrested Sunday in the fatal shooting that afternoon of a 14-year-old boy in an apartment building in the 1600 block of West Juno Avenue.
The victim, who died at 4:30 p.m. at UCI Medical Center in Orange, was an acquaintance of the shooter and police believe his death was accidental.
“They both do have gang affiliation, but it sounds like one pointed a gun at the other and didn’t think it was loaded,” Sgt. Russ Sutter said.
Police were interviewing the alleged shooter late Sunday evening and did not release the names of either the victim or suspect.
