Clipper update--They face the Houston Rockets again for the second time in a week. Rocket forward Charles Barkley had a season-high 35 points, eight rebounds and seven assists as the Rockets ended the Clippers’ three-game winning streak, 127-117, last Tuesday at the Sports Arena. The Clippers beat the Rockets by four points on Jan. 4 at Houston to end a 20-game losing streak there dating to Nov. 6, 1986.
Rocket update--Houston, posting the third-best record in franchise history, have won eight of its last 10 games and is tied with the Lakers and SuperSonics in the Western Conference. Since the Pacific Division champion will finish second in the conference, the Rockets will finish third or fourth.
