Funding Sought for Foundation Dinner
The Newport-Mesa Schools Foundation board is seeking individuals and corporations to help fund its annual awards dinner.
The foundation needs groups to sponsor tables, to help underwrite the dinner and to donate auction items and prizes.
Since its inception in 1982, the foundation has donated more than $700,000 to teachers in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District for classroom projects. Past recipients have used grants for a variety of projects, including taking field trips to historical sites, buying interactive software and raising trout in the classroom.
This winners of this year’s grants will be named at the April 30 dinner at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Costa Mesa.
To attend or contribute, contact the Newport-Mesa Schools Foundation at (714) 631-4143.
