However, in struggling to defeat Arizona in last year’s West Regional semifinals, 83-80, Kansas’ Twin Silos Raef LaFrentz and Scot Pollard combined for eight points, LaFrentz scoring only one in 23 minutes. The Wildcats hope to catch the Jayhawks at a weak moment. Kansas guard Jacque Vaughn has been fighting fever and bronchitis all week, and shooter Jerod Haase missed practice time because of assorted injuries.
