Former Dodger general manager Al Campanis, who...

Former Dodger general manager Al Campanis, who nearly died of pneumonia two weeks ago, underwent surgery Wednesday in Fullerton to have a feeding tube inserted in his stomach.

Campanis, 80, was admitted to St. Jude Medical Center on March 3 after breaking his left shoulder. He tripped and fell while getting out of the shower. While hospitalized, he developed pneumonia.

“He was groggy, but everything was good,†Campanis’ son, George, said after the procedure.
