School Bonds
Re “School Safety Focus of L.A. Bond Drive,†March 9: Last November, 65.5.% of the voters approved Proposition B, to provide necessary repairs to L.A. schools, but the vote fell just short of the two-thirds or 66.67% required to pass. On April 8, we again have the chance to vote on the same school repair bond measure.
For those of you who voted no in November: You would not live or work in a dilapidated building with safety hazards, electrical problems, leaky roofs and no air conditioning, so how can you expect children to learn in this type of environment? For those of you who didn’t vote: vote! As we learned last November, every yes vote for Proposition BB is critical. Let’s provide an environment conducive to learning.
