Author to Speak on Women and Success
Adele Scheele, director of the career center at Cal State Northridge, will discuss “Skills for Success for Women†today at Mission College.
Scheele is the author of the 1994 book “Career Strategies for Working Women,†which encourages women to take personal and professional risks to improve the quality of their lives and the lives of their families, Mission officials said.
Scheele has appeared as a commentator on numerous television news programs and hosted her own call-in show on KABC Talk Radio. She serves on the National Assn. of Women Business Owners Advisory Council and on the board of directors of the National Assn. of Women Executives.
Mission’s New Horizons program for adults returning to school, and its Career to Work program for high school students considering college, are sponsoring the discussion, which begins at noon and is free to the public.
Scheele’s presentation, one of several events to be held at Mission this month to mark Women’s History Month, will be held in the Campus Center, 13356 Eldridge Ave., Sylmar. For more information, call (818) 364-7674.
