Cupid’s Choices
I was shocked to see your inclusion of a lesbian couple regarding Cupid and cooking (“Cupid in the Kitchen,†Feb. 12). But it was a happy shock. I’m glad you are not afraid to include “alternative lifestyles†as a fact of living on this planet. I’m assuming you might be getting some hate mail from petty paranoids, so I thought I’d send you a “good job†note with a pat on the back.

At first, I was not going to write. However, I changed my mind just so you cannot claim that printing the Valentine special, which included a lesbian couple, was not offensive to at least some of your readers. I am sure I am speaking for many others--some who may hesitate to complain because they do not want to be accused of being homophobic.
