Injury Sidelines Spurs’ Wilkins

Dominique Wilkins, the San Antonio Spurs’ leading scorer, will be sidelined indefinitely because of a strained right hamstring, the team said. Wilkins suffered the injury in Friday’s loss at Orlando. He is expected to miss at least five games.

Charles Barkley, who suffered a lacerated left pelvis in a collision with Dallas Maverick center Shawn Bradley Saturday, hopes to rejoin the Houston Rockets by the end of this week. Team doctors have said Barkley, who required several stitches, would be out seven to 10 days.
