4,300 Customers Lose Electricity
Southern California Edison crews were working late into the night Thursday to restore electricity to about 4,300 customers in Laguna Niguel and Laguna Beach.
Power in the communities suddenly shut off at 8:11 p.m., according to Steve Hansen, an Edison spokesman. Hansen said the outage could have been a result of a windstorm that blew through South County.
“It could have been the winds, but we can’t be sure yet,†said Hansen. “We sent out extra crews to find out what went wrong and to fix the problem.â€
