Houston guard Brent Price, rounding into shape after a preseason broken elbow, tore a ligament in his right knee Tuesday night against the Lakers and will be sidelined the rest of the season.
Price tore his anterior cruciate ligament in the second quarter when he banged knees with Nick Van Exel.
“You’re normally looking at four to six months before he can get back to the court,” said Rocket physician Walter Lowe.
Price sat out the first 27 games this season before he was activated on Dec. 26. He averaged 5.1 points in 25 games.
