New Mayor to Host Breakfast Thursday

Newly appointed Mayor John J. Collins is hosting his first Mayor’s Breakfast at 8 a.m. Thursday at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center.
The mission is to acquaint Collins with constituents and provide updates on city business. Collins, who serves on the City Council, recently became mayor when James D. Petrikin resigned the post for health reasons. Petrikin remains on the council.
Also speaking Thursday will be Orange County Supervisor Charles V. Smith, who plans a presentation titled “The County: Where We Are Now and Where We Are Going.”
Fountain Valley Hospital is at 17100 Euclid St. Cost for the continental breakfast is $1.50. Reservations are suggested.
