Frost Named Select Software Chairman
Stuart Frost, founder and chief executive of Select Software Tools PLC, has been elected to the additional position of chairman. He succeeds Michael Jackson, who will continue as a director. In addition, Edward Holt has been named to the newly created position of president. Holt was previously executive vice president of international sales and marketing. Dave Norris, formerly director of partnerships, was named senior vice president of development.
* Lee Breitenbach has joined the Wet Seal Inc., an Irvine-based women’s apparel retailer, as vice president of physical distribution. He previously spent 14 years with Kids Mart Inc., the last seven as vice president of warehouse operations. Also, Kenneth Guerrini was appointed controller. Guerrini was formerly general controller of Gander Mountain. Prior to that, he was assistant controller for Kmart Corp. and was an audit supervisor for Coopers & Lybrand.
* Ajit Patel has been named to the newly created position of vice president and chief information officer at Mossimo Inc., an Irvine designer of men’s and women’s activewear and sportswear. He will head the development of an information technology strategy for Mossimo. Patel was most recently vice president and chief information officer of Authentic Fitness Corp. in Commerce. He has also held senior executive positions with Scandiline Industries, Futurelogic Inc. and International Communications Network, the Indian subsidiary of Incomnet U.S.A.
* Robert L. West has been named acting president of Rancho Santa Margarita-based L.L. Knickerbocker Co. Inc.’s Georgetown Collection Inc. subsidiary. West was vice president and chief financial officer of Georgetown from 1991 to 1995. In addition, Marie Osmond, a celebrity spokeswoman for the company, and Tamara Knickerbocker, vice president, have been named to the Georgetown board of directors. William R. Black, member of the board of directors and corporate counsel for Knickerbocker since 1995, has joined the company full time as in-house legal counsel. The Knickerbocker company develops a line of celebrity-endorsed products, contracts for the manufacture of those products and sells them through diverse retail markets.
