CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE (10-12, 6-6) at WEBER STATE (12-11, 7-6)
Time--6 PST.
After losing four in a row, the Matadors have won twice in a row on the road. They can clinch a berth in the six-team conference tournament with one more victory, or one defeat by Sacramento State. “I think we are peaking . . . at the right time,” Northridge Coach Bobby Braswell said. Point guard Trenton Cross has averaged 23.5 points in the last four games. To keep Cross and Lucky Grundy, the team’s other point guard, on the floor at the same time, Braswell has been using Cross at shooting guard. Northridge defeated Weber State, 90-81, last month in what was probably the Matadors’ best conference game. The Wildcats have won six of eight games.
