Documentaries and Student Works Will Be Shown at Contemporary Folklore Film Festival

The 11th biannual VITAS Film Festival of Contemporary Folklore and Popular Culture will take place at UCLA’s Melnitz Theater on March 1 and 2.
The lineup of the festival, which features recent documentary films and short student films, includes Jeff Porter’s “The Men Who Dance the Giglio,” Catarina Alves Costa’s “Senhora Aparecida,” Gregory Thomson’s “Lowriders: The Real Story” and Lori Maas Vidlak’s “Yodel.”
The festival begins at 9 a.m. on both days and admission is free.
