Busier by the Dozen

UCLA Extension’s “Los Angeles Writer’s Conference,” a series of intense four-day writing workshops for both beginning and advanced writers, will take place next Thursday-March 2 at the Universal Sheraton Hotel and the UCLA Extension classrooms on Universal CityWalk.
Twelve workshops are offered including “Introduction to Screenwriting,” “Writing the Situation Comedy,” “Writing the Thriller,” “Writing for Episodic Television,” “Creating a Blueprint for Your Feature Film: An Intensive Story Structure Workshop” and “Animation Writing--You’re in Charge.” Some of the non-entertainment writing workshops offered include “Introduction to Fiction Writing,” “Writing the First Novel” and “Introduction to Poetry Writing.”
The conference meets next Thursday and Feb. 28 from 8:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m., and March 1 and 2 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
