Kariya a Point Shy of His 200th
Paul Kariya is one point from 200 NHL points even though tonight is only the 165th game of his career. At 22, his career scoring average is 1.21 points per game.
Kariya also needs one point against Hartford tonight to break his Duck record for points in a month. That record, 19, was set last month. He has five goals and 14 points in 13 games in January with the final game of the month tonight.
He was held without a point Wednesday against Dallas for only the eighth time in 36 games but hasn’t been held without a point in consecutive games all season.
