Man in Oxnard Is Shot 5 Times
A man believed to be about 25 years old was shot five times in an apparent drive-by shooting about 8:20 p.m. Thursday in the 3100 block of South A Street in Oxnard, authorities said.
“When we arrived, we found him outside on the sidewalk right in front of a house,†said Steve Carroll, a paramedic supervisor with Gold Coast Ambulance. “He was unconscious, he was breathing and did have a pulse, but he wasn’t responsive.â€
The unidentified man was shot twice in the chest, twice in the back and once in the side, Carroll said. He was rushed to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
