Discovered by artisans and craftsmen during the early 1900s, the east bank of Pasadena’s Arroyo Seco became home to tile designer Ernest Batchelder, painter Jean Mannheim and others who followed the Craftsman philosophy. The concentration of Craftsman architecture is anchored by Greene and Greene’s Gamble House.
