Wonderware Reports $6.1-Million Loss, 18% Revenue Gain
IRVINE — Wonderware Corp., a supplier of software for the industrial automation marketplace, reported a net loss of $6.1 million, or 45 cents a share, for 1996, compared with a net loss of $14.3 million, or $1.13 a share, for the prior year. Revenue gained 18% to $64.9 million from $55 million. A net loss of $4.4 million, or 32 cents a share, was recorded for the fourth quarter.
It included charges of $3.7 million related to the consolidation of Wonderware’s manufacturing systems development centers in the United States and to the acquisition of the company’s former German distributor, ICT-Wonderware. Net income for the 1995 fourth quarter was $1.3 million, or 9 cents a share. Revenue was up 17% to $19 million from $16.2 million.
