Library Branch Adds Third Day of Service
The West Garden Grove library branch has added Saturday to its days of service, bringing to three the number of days the facility is open each week.
The branch at 11962 Bailey St. is now open Mondays from noon to 9 p.m., Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The extra day is possible because the Orange County Public Library System increased funds for Garden Grove’s libraries earlier this year.
Also, the staff has been increased at the city’s regional branch at 11200 Stanford Ave. Marie Knight, community services manager, said new librarians will join the current “bare-bones†staff. The regional branch’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
There will be no changes at Garden Grove’s third location, the Chapman branch, 9182 Chapman Ave. It is open Tuesdays from noon to 9 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
