Defenseman Rob Blake returned to the lineup after sitting out 11 games because of a broken right hand. Blake did not score but he took five shots and made his presence felt defensively.

“The first period I was a little rusty and I made a couple of giveaways,†said Blake, who sat out nearly all of last season because of a knee injury. “But coming back after missing one month wasn’t too bad. Missing a whole year was worse. One month doesn’t really faze me.â€

Forward Yanic Perreault’s first-period score was his second goal in two games. He scored a power-play goal at San Jose on Wednesday night. . . . On Monday, the Kings will start a two-game trip at Dallas and then play at Colorado on Wednesday. . . . Goaltender Stephane Fiset, whose mask was stolen Friday, likely will start at Dallas.
