After losing a close game to Thousand Oaks High in the first week of the Marmonte League season, the Simi Valley girls’ basketball team has a chance to pull into a first-place tie with Channel Islands when it hosts the Raiders tonight at 7.

Christina Momesso scored 18 points for Simi Valley (12-6, 4-1 in league) in a 58-50 victory over Royal on Tuesday night. Eleanor Ecoffey averages 16 for Channel Islands (12-5, 5-0).
