1st Comes the Crime, Then the Arrest

Regarding the murder conviction of armed robber Robert Cunningham:
Public Defender Gary Windom said that jurors should acquit Cunningham to send a message to the LAPD to abandon the Special Unit. Then after the guilty verdict, he stated, “The true murderers are walking out of the courtroom today.” This so-called public defender is a liberal neophyte when it comes to determining justice for the victim.
Any citizen has the right to use any force necessary to stop a felony in progress and when LAPD observed the suspects commit an armed robbery, how could their officers have tried to arrest the suspects until they had committed a crime? Give me an answer, public defender.
