Body of Man Found in Burned Cottage

The body of a man burned beyond recognition was found Saturday by firefighters in the bed of a guest house in North Hollywood that had been gutted by flames, authorities said.
The fire occurred about 10:15 a.m. in a one-room cottage behind an unoccupied house in the 12000 block of Califa Street, said Bob Collis, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire remained under investigation, Collis said.
