A jump shot by Jen Ross from the lane with two seconds left went off the rim as Calabasas High lost to San Marcos, 35-33, Thursday night in the championship game of the Marlborough tournament at Marlborough High.

The Coyotes (6-4), who never led in the game, outscored the Royals, 16-3, in the fourth quarter to nearly force overtime.

Heather Robertson had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Calabasas.

St. Bonaventure 75, Carpinteria 23--Amy Rosario scored 25 points and Jan McCarthy had 15 points, six assists and eight steals for the Seraphs (3-7), who scored the first 20 points in the Santa Paula tournament.

North Hollywood 65, Agoura 40--Tashean Thomas had 14 points and six steals, and Markia Derby had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Huskies in a first-round game at the Burroughs tournament.

Claudia Villa added 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Stephanie Wasserman had nine points and seven assists for North Hollywood (7-1).

Glendale 71, Notre Dame 57--Victoria Oganyan had 19 points and seven steals, and Alina Markari and Pola Aghakhanians each had 18 points for the Dynamiters (5-1) in the first round of the Burroughs tournament.

Bravo Medical 54, Poly 39--Quinana Jeffries had 16 points and nine rebounds but the Parrots (2-7) lost in the consolation final of the San Fernando tournament.

Louisville 70, L.A. Baptist 35--Becky Witt and Rosie Chingcuangco had 11 points each and Chingcuangco added six steals for the Royals (6-2) at Louisville.

Theresa Delgado and Peggy Johnson each scored 10 points for Louisville.

Eagle Rock 65, Grant 41--Nakeisha Perkins had eight points and 16 rebounds and Angela Terry had eight points, seven steals and six blocked shots but the Lancers (6-4) were outscored, 21-5, in the third quarter of the championship game at the San Fernando tournament.

Royal 69, Newbury Park 32--Jessica Sanders scored 17 points and Teresa Russell had 11 rebounds and four steals for the Highlanders in a Marmonte League game at Newbury Park.

Maren Van Orman had 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Panthers (1-5, 0-2).

Crescenta Valley 57, Rancho Bernardo 52--Michelle Greco scored 25 points and freshman forward Sinnamonn Garrett added 10 points and 14 rebounds for the Falcons (7-0) in a Santa Barbara tournament first-round victory.
