Loara 42, Garden Grove 36--Loara won seven of the first eight matches by pins, including Thomas Salcido’s clincher over Chris Sween in 1:52 at 145 pounds. Ulysses Linarez upset David Martini, ranked fifth in the county at 130 pounds, 9-7.

Katella 65, Savanna 12--Adam Tapia, who won the 119-pound class at last weekend’s Irvine Tournament, remained undefeated in 15 matches with a 10-6 victory.

Laguna Hills 37, Orange 24--In the 135-pound class, Ben Gelera pinned Jon Kobus in 54 seconds, helping Laguna Hills (8-2) to a quick start. Orange is 3-8.

San Clemente 44, Kennedy 24--San Clemente’s Robert Volga upset Aaron Cross, ranked fifth in the county at 171 pounds, 12-10, to lead the second-ranked Tritons (11-0) past eighth-ranked Kennedy (7-1-1).
