Riggins, a point guard from Santa Ana Valley High, has led Saddleback in a winning direction since moving into the starting lineup. Saddleback (6-5) is 4-2 with Riggins starting. He had a career-high 23 points and also had six assists as the Gauchos beat Los Angeles Valley in one semifinal of the Santa Barbara tournament Friday. He came back with 10 assists, but Saddleback lost in overtime to Monterey Peninsula in the championship game.
