O.C. Woman Injured in Seattle Shooting
SEATTLE — An Orange County woman was in critical condition Monday after being shot in the head at a parking garage at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
Soheila Motamed, 39, of Corona del Mar was taken to Harborview Medical Center after she was shot Sunday night during an apparent attempted robbery, police said.
Motamed had walked to her car on the fourth floor of the garage when she was approached by the gunman, Port of Seattle Police Sgt. Dianna Klineburger said.
“It looks like robbery that got interrupted,†she said.
Motamed told police she did not know her assailant.
Police and police dogs searched unsuccessfully for the gunman.
The garages are patrolled by port police 24 hours a day. The shooting was only the second in 18 years, airport spokeswoman Anita Risdon said.
