Synthonics Patents Virtual Reality Technology
Synthonics Inc. of Westlake Village has been notified that the first of its 15 applications pending before the U.S. Patent Office has been approved.
The applications cover aspects of the company’s recently announced Rapid Virtual Reality technology. Synthonics expects to receive the formal patent grant in a few months.
The newly patented technology makes it possible to present accurate computer images without the viewer experiencing the eye strain historically associated with three-dimensional imagery.
Synthonics also filed several patent applications with international authorities covering the various technological aspects of RVR.
Synthonics’ RVR has already been licensed to three companies involved in advanced imaging applications.
