PAWTUCKET, R.I. — Loretta and Arthur Audette died within 10 minutes of each other--on their 54th wedding anniversary.
Both were patients at Memorial Hospital, which did not give the causes of their deaths on Thursday.
Loretta Audette, 77, and her 84-year-old husband were married on Dec. 12, 1942. Both had worked for industries in the region until retiring more than 15 years ago.
A double funeral was set for Monday in Notre Dame Church of Central Falls. They will be buried next to each other in Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket. The Audettes are survived by a son.
