Council Members Set to Join Santa on Tour

An annual holiday highlight--Santa’s daylong tour through the community--will be Dec. 21 this year, Mayor Barry L. Denes said.
As in years past, Santa will be joined by City Council members on an Orange County Fire Authority fire truck on his rounds.
“We’ll start at City Hall at 8 a.m. and keep riding around the city until it starts to get dark,” Denes said.
He will also be handing out Christmas candy.
The annual ride, sponsored by the city, is “the highlight of the City Council’s year,” Denes said. “It’s the biggest benefit of being on the council--getting to ride with Santa and seeing all those beaming children. It’s the time of year when Santa really has Villa Park deep in his heart.”
