2 Teenagers Shot on Street; 1 in Critical Condition
Two teenage North Hills boys were hospitalized--one in extremely critical condition--after being shot Friday by an assailant, authorities said.
Police said the assailant apparently walked up to the victims in the 14800 block of Roscoe Boulevard and opened fire, said Officer Don Cox, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department. The reason for the 5:20 p.m. shooting was not clear, he said.
The two victims--neither of whom was identified--were taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills. One, who was shot in the head, remained in critical condition Friday night, Cox said. The other’s wounds did not appear life-threatening, he said.
