A New Windsor woman was burned by a package bomb left in the driveway of her home and police charged a man with intending the device for her son out of jealousy over a former girlfriend. Gino D’Amico, 31, was charged with attempted murder in the explosion that burned Katherine Valenzano. Hospital officials would not release information on her condition. Police said the target was the woman’s adult son, Rocco Valenzano, who lives with his mother in this community 60 miles north of New York City. New Jersey authorities were also investigating an unrelated package bombing west of Atlantic City that injured a Fairfield Township woman.
