Executive Vice President Andy Roeser said that the club won’t make any more offers to free-agent center Brian Williams.
“They have rejected our last offer and there are no talks currently scheduled,” Roeser said. “We don’t have any plans to initiate any further discussions or make any more offers.”
Williams, who averaged career highs of 15.8 points and 7.6 rebounds last season, is reportedly seeking a $36.4-million, five-year deal. The Clippers have offered $16.8 million for four years.
Fred Slaughter, Williams’ agent, did not return phone calls.

Guard Brent Barry, on the injured list all season because of a sprained left thumb, hopes to play next week.
“Most of the pain has subsided, but I don’t want to play until it’s all gone,” Barry said.
