‘Walk for Technology’ Will Benefit Schools
The Los Alamitos Education Foundation and the Los Alamitos Unified School District will hold a “Walk for Technology†walkathon at 11 a.m. Saturday to raise money for computer equipment.
A technology fair, featuring sessions on the Internet and displays of the latest multimedia and software equipment, will follow, from noon to 3 p.m.
Presentations will be made on the use of technology in curriculum in kindergarten through 12th grade.

The foundation hopes to raise $40,000 at the event. Proceeds will go toward installing 300 computers in classrooms throughout the school district, expanding Internet access and establishing computerized media centers.
The event will be held on the Los Alamitos High School athletic field at 3591 Cerritos Ave. Information: (714) 799-4700, Ext. 462.
