Silent Auction to Help Fund Scholarships
A silent auction to raise funds for scholarships will take place at Cal State Fullerton on Nov. 23.
The public is being invited to the event, which will begin at 11 a.m. in the Shapiro Wing of the Ruby Gerontology Center on campus, 800 State College Blvd.
Items to be auctioned are from the art collection of Leo S. Shapiro, a founder of a campus support group, Continuing Learning Experience, and former Alpha Beta Markets executive. Among the items are Baccarat and Waterford crystal, Spode dishes, Wedgwood pieces, silver holloware and paintings.
Proceeds will fund two scholarships for students majoring in gerontology at Cal State Fullerton, university officials said.
