MTA Plans 2 Public Meetings Tonight
Should we invest more money in bus services or rail lines?
Residents are encouraged to offer suggestions at Los Angeles community meetings tonight that will address the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s long-range transportation plans.
“We want to know what the public wants,†said MTA spokesman Rick Jager. “Should we invest more money in the bus system or rail? Should we give more attention to building carpool lanes or adding more bus lines?â€
The agency will hold community meetings at 6 p.m. at 4707 S. Central Ave. in South-Central Los Angeles and at 8 p.m. at 5300 Angeles Vista Blvd. in the Crenshaw district.
Jager said the goal of the meetings is to use community comments to help the agency make funding priority decisions on its future projects. For information, call (800) COMMUTE.
