Valley’s Game With Moorpark Has Hit Home

The outcome of the Moorpark College-Valley College football game on Saturday night will cause repercussions in at least one household.
Valley president Tyree Wieder and her husband, Les, director of Moorpark’s cinema department, again have a bet on the game.
“We’ve talked about a couple of things, but we have to pin them down,” Tyree Wieder said. “One bet is that the loser has to get the winner’s car washed every week for six months. The other bet is a one-day shopping spree at the store of the winner’s choice.”
The game should be a dandy. Both teams are 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the Western State Conference Southern Division.
However, Valley has won the past three meetings and Tyree Wieder is confident the streak will continue. But her husband would welcome a victory.
“He’s getting a little tired of losing,” she said.
