The Labor Department found no labor law violations during an October investigation of the contractors who supply Guess Inc., the company said. The Los Angeles-based apparel manufacturer said two of its suppliers were among 40 contractors investigated by federal officials. The Labor Department launched the probe after regulators had determined that Guess had received merchandise from an alleged sweatshop operator that had failed to pay workers the minimum wage. Guess has said it severed ties with that contractor before regulators discovered the violations.
